Adult Writing Workshops
Unlocking Creativity through “Morning Pages”
Writing to find YOUR art.
This workshop will introduce participants to the concept of “Morning Pages”, a daily writing practice founded as a way to awaken creativity and flow for writers and artists of all types. Drawing on concepts presented by Julia Cameron in her book The Artist’s Way, participants will engage in daily writing and a suggested weekly “Artist’s Date” to tap into their creative self.
Each of the six weekly meetings will help build a community in which reflection and discussion deepen the daily writing work done at home and open doors to creative projects moving forward.
Perfect for adult writers and artists who are looking to find their creative selves – again or for the first time.

Finding Your Voice
The Writer’s Notebook Reimagined
Do you find yourself drawn to writing as a way to process thoughts and feelings and/or record observations and wonderings about the world around you? Maybe you’re craving a jumpstart in your journaling or new beginnings for a writing notebook? If any of that sounds familiar, this new adult opportunity might be for you.
In this workshop, we will journey together towards a reimagining of what it means to keep a “writer’s notebook”. Through regular at-home writing in our notebook, we’ll create a space where our more personal, inwardly-focused thoughts can find their place within our observations of the wider world. The more we write, the more we’ll come to trust our own voice (both writer and human), and the more our collection of musings and discoveries will grow.
As a group, we’ll tap into these growing collections and use tools such as quick-writes, prompts, and mentor texts to help us explore the seeds of ideas within them. As we do this, our writer’s notebook becomes important not only as a catalyst for observation and expression, but also as a well of inspiration for poetry, fiction, nonfiction, music, art, etc.. We’ll follow the seeds through to drafts and use feedback and revision activities to help move our work towards its final stages – when our whispered words will find their resounding voice in the wider world.
Come join us in reimagining the writer’s notebook. Our space will provide the safe community, time, and support you need to get started or restarted on your writing journey!
Perfect for beginning or experienced adult writers.

Works in Progress
A Craft-Focused Writing Workshop
Are there creative juices bubbling inside of you ready to be released and flow freely if given just the right nudge or space to open up? Whether it’s writing or another channel of creative expression (painting, sculpting, creating music, dancing, etc.) waiting to come to life, we have the place for you!
Come to Works in Progress: A Craft-Focused Writing Workshop and work with others who are also seeking that space. Springboarding off of some of the tools in Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way, we will tap into things like writing, the “artist’s date”, walks, and other means of “filling the well” to unlock and fuel the creativity that lies in each of us. Become part of a community who creates together, shares creative challenges and victories with each other, and celebrates the results of the process.
Perfect for adult writers who have a creative project they want to work on.
